Thinking of Bantayan this Dark, Cold Friday Night

My summer came early, but I wanna do it all over again.

EA Party Place and Needs: Your One-Stop Party Shop

I've always been a fan of DIY arts and crafts. I spend hours and hours on Pinterest bookmarking pin after pin for my next projects. Last year, I've done a little styling and decorating for a wedding, a birthday, and a good friend's baby shower. My next project is for a wedding this April and I'm so excited.

So when CBC invited bloggers to the grand opening of EA Party Place and Needs last March 18, I couldn't say no.

Named after the proprietress' son, EA Party Place and Needs (pronounced "Ee-ya") is your one-stop shop party shop located at the heart of Cebu city.

Together with fellow bloggers, I witnessed the ribbon cutting of the establishment, followed by a whole lot of fun and sweets.

We were lucky to experience most of their services firsthand.

We played games...

and were amazed with balloon sculpting!

The team also prepared a colorful set up, complete with balloons, candy, party hats, a photo booth and a dessert bar! Yes, it's candy land alright!

What's unique about them is that right behind the store, they have an area you can book for your event. Due to limited space however, they would prefer parties for the little ones or 30 heads maximum for seminars. But they're totally flexible so just discuss your needs to them and they would be more than happy help you out.

I had such a blast and would definitely be back for some party supply shopping!

Cebu Blogging Community Ultimate Meet Up: 7 Things Everybody Loved about the Event

I've been a proud member of Cebu Blogging Community since September of last year. Being part of the community helped me enhance my "blogging" craft even more and gain new friends.

Last March 7, Cebu Blogging Community held the first ever Ultimate Meet Up. I was looking forward to this since this was the first time we would be able to see each other in person.

Happy to say, the event was a huge success!

After reading the reactions of my fellow bloggers, I've came up with the 7 things everybody loved about the CBC Ultimate Meet Up.

1. We finally got to see the faces behind the blogs

It's so nice to finally know who breathes life into the blogs we've been reading. Before this, we only got to meet other bloggers of the same niche during events.

Thaddeau Engaling II of Cebu Team Building Services did a great job of making us get to know each other with a few activities.

2. We got to discuss CBC rules and regulations as a group

Rules are essential especially for a growing community like ours. During the meetup, the leads were able to discuss the new rules and regulations while we were open to air out our ideas and concerns as well.

3. We learned even more about social responsibility

Rachel Nessia from Philippine Information Agency and seasoned journalist Eleanor Valeros discussed about social responsibility, the latter also sharing noteworthy blogging/writing tips.

At the end of our meeting, the whole community signed a manifesto on public accountability.

4. There were raffles and prizes

There were a lot prizes given away - from Tshirts to USBs to skin care gift certificates. Flawless Face and Body Clinic was so generous giving out raffle items which were the main prizes for our event. As usual, my name wasn't called out - I'm really unlucky when it comes to raffles.

5. We never got hungry

Diamond Suites and Residences Cebu made sure we were tummy-happy during the whole event. For more info, check Foodie Treats at Diamond Suites.

6. We got a free hotel tour

The lovely staff of Diamond Suites gave us a tour of their different rooms. They had 102 Superior and Deluxe rooms along with 27 condominium units.

7. And had an awesome party by the pool

After the meeting and the hotel tour, we were asked to proceed to the pool deck where the lights, music, food (and the pool, of course) were all set and ready for our arrival. What followed was a night of mingling, laughing, eating, singing, dancing, and swimming!

An ABSolutely Flawless Night to Remember

Every girl has that one shining moment. Some girls win beauty pageants while others get their dream proposal.

I, on the other hand, got to rub sunscreen - in a slow circular motion - on a famous rugby player’s rock solid six-pack. Yes, I counted.

Exactly a week ago, a few bloggers and I were invited to La Vie Parisienne for the launch of Flawless’ newest product - Flawless Skin Protect Mist.

Unlike other sunscreens, Flawless Skin Protect Mist leaves a light and soothing feel with no white residues. It’s also formulated at a high SPF 70 which is ideal not just for summer but for everyday use.

Present during the event were Drew Mendoza, business manager of Flawless, and the two Philippine Rugby team players, Andrew Wolff and Harry Morris, who are current endorsers of the brand. Which now leads me back to the abs story.

Enter Andrew Wolff - Mr Philippines 2012 | Actor | Rugby Sevens Player - who looked happy to see me. ;)

He was game enough to let me spray and rub [the sunscreen on] his hard-rock abs to let the audience see the product’s new feature, which was a 360-degree spray system that makes it easy to apply for people on the go.

I didn't actually care at the moment. All I knew was that I wasn't dreaming.

Yes dear readers, it was everything you and I dreamed it would be. It was my shining moment. For step-by-step instructions, read How to rub sunscreen on a rugby player’s six-pack abs.

After all the fun, I also got a hug!

Six reasons I recommend Flawless Skin Protect Mist

  1. It’s internationally tested to protect skin from UVA and UVB rays
  2. It’s non-greasy and fuss-free
  3. It’s light and easy to carry around
  4. It’s water resistant
  5. It’s safe even for children, pregnant women and even cancer patients
  6. It’s super chic with its Flawless signature pink color
Where to buy:
Flawless Skin Protect Mist with SPF 70 100ml canister is available in all Flawless clinics nationwide for only Php450.00.

Six things I loved about the event

Just kidding! I loved the...

  1. Venue - La Vie Parisienne was so enchanting with the beautiful lights
  2. Theme - Everyone was dressed in White Chic
  3. Dinner - I loved the buffet + dessert
  4. People - Great to be with blogger friends once in a while
  5. Product - I'm so excited to use it
  6. Organizers behind the event - It was really Flawless!
Also, thanks to Cebu Blogging Community for the opportunity!

Now you know why this is an ABSolutely Flawless night I will never forget. :)

How to Rub Sunscreen on a Guy's Six-pack Abs

I know this sounds pretty straightforward, but it's actually quite the challenge. This short tutorial will teach you how to rub a guy's six-pack abs properly in 5 easy steps.

Step 1. Find a guy with six-pack abs.

Six-pack abs. Not four, not two but six. Most guys this ripped are athletes so you might find one out on the field, training or playing. If you're lucky, they might be part of an event launch you're attending.

Step 2. Ask him if he’s willing to let you rub his abs with sunscreen.

Unless he willingly flashes you his abs for touching, ask in a polite way. If he agrees, continue reading step 3. If he doesn't agree, go back to step 1.

Step 3. Prepare sunscreen.

Once he says yes, bring out your sunscreen before he changes his mind. I recommend having a spray with a 360-degree spray system - like Flawless Skin Protect Mist SPF 70 - so you can apply the sunscreen easily from any direction.

Step 4. Spray over the abs.

Clockwise, counterclockwise, vertically, horizontally, diagonally, upside down, draw a heart - whatever.

Step 5. Rub in a circular motion.

Slowly rub the sunscreen onto his abdominal area, carefully spreading the mist in between the ridges of his six-pack. Take your time as this is the most crucial step.

And you're done! Good job!
