I've been a proud member of Cebu Blogging Community since September of last year. Being part of the community helped me enhance my "blogging" craft even more and gain new friends.
Last March 7, Cebu Blogging Community held the first ever Ultimate Meet Up. I was looking forward to this since this was the first time we would be able to see each other in person.
Happy to say, the event was a huge success!
After reading the reactions of my fellow bloggers, I've came up with the 7 things everybody loved about the CBC Ultimate Meet Up.
1. We finally got to see the faces behind the blogs
It's so nice to finally know who breathes life into the blogs we've been reading. Before this, we only got to meet other bloggers of the same niche during events.
Thaddeau Engaling II of Cebu Team Building Services did a great job of making us get to know each other with a few activities.
2. We got to discuss CBC rules and regulations as a group
2. We got to discuss CBC rules and regulations as a group
Rules are essential especially for a growing community like ours. During the meetup, the leads were able to discuss the new rules and regulations while we were open to air out our ideas and concerns as well.
3. We learned even more about social responsibility
Rachel Nessia from Philippine Information Agency and seasoned journalist Eleanor Valeros discussed about social responsibility, the latter also sharing noteworthy blogging/writing tips.
At the end of our meeting, the whole community signed a manifesto on public accountability.
4. There were raffles and prizes
There were a lot prizes given away - from Tshirts to USBs to skin care gift certificates. Flawless Face and Body Clinic was so generous giving out raffle items which were the main prizes for our event. As usual, my name wasn't called out - I'm really unlucky when it comes to raffles.
5. We never got hungry
Diamond Suites and Residences Cebu made sure we were tummy-happy during the whole event. For more info, check Foodie Treats at Diamond Suites.
6. We got a free hotel tour
The lovely staff of Diamond Suites gave us a tour of their different rooms. They had 102 Superior and Deluxe rooms along with 27 condominium units.
7. And had an awesome party by the pool
After the meeting and the hotel tour, we were asked to proceed to the pool deck where the lights, music, food (and the pool, of course) were all set and ready for our arrival. What followed was a night of mingling, laughing, eating, singing, dancing, and swimming!
